Adrenal Fatigue...do you have it?

A common thread I am seeing in the practice more this year in 2020 is symptoms of adrenal fatigue or insufficiency. Why?

So many people are going through some major changes and stressors  unlike some they’ve ever had before. This pandemic has shifted so many  things for people.  Kids not in school, jobs changing, losing jobs, financial fear,  virus fear, media exhaustion, relationship stresses, and so much more.  What is this doing to your body? It is adding more physical and  mental stress to you whether you can “feel” it or not. Some maybe  completely subconscious. This causes more body fatigue and so many more  other symptoms you may be experiencing!

This chart while not fancy explains symptoms of adrenal fatigue below.

A: allergies- have your allergies been an all time high this year?

D: dizziness or depression-have you experienced dizziness or lightheartedness going from a lying or seated position to standing quickly?  Have you struggled emotionally to function in your day to day? Just  feeling down?

R:rapid heart beat- have you felt like your heart might beat out of your chest at times and then it goes away?

E: low energy- have you struggled waking up in the morning or wanting to fall asleep in the afternoon?

N: night time issues? Can’t fall asleep or can’t stay asleep?

A: ached in the head- headaches on and off?

L: low blood sugar or low libido- are you grumpy or moody if your  meals are missed or you wait to long to eat? Have you lost your sex  drive?

S: sugar or salt cravings or short leg syndrome: do all you want to  eat is something sweet or salty? When we adjust you are we always  mentioning one leg shorter then the other? This could be adrenal  related.
What do you do if you have adrenal fatigue?

  1. Change your diet

  2. Come into the clinic and get your nervous system cleared with an adjustment so  you can feel and think better. You can be out of pain and still be out  of alignment.

  3. Get your hormones tested: you could need re-balancing to help your blood sugar and libido to be fully supported

  4. Get on some targeted adrenal supplemental support

  5. Prayer and emotional support. Don’t carry your stress or burdens alone. Let us or someone you know pray with and for you

  6. Sleep: take a nap if you can it will help your adrenals heal

  7. Light exercise: go for a walk...do not over due this as it can put more stress on the adrenals.
