Try this tea...It acts as a systemic support at reducing inflammation throughout the body. I posted a blog post a little while back on 5 ways to reduce inflammation. This tea would be a great add onto those other 5 things.
High Powered Turmeric Sipping tea
Ingredients:
Quarter inch turmeric root (can be found usually at publix)
Quarter inch ginger root (can be found usually at publix)
2-4 oz. of water
½ tsp of Ceylon cinnamon
¼ tsp of organic capers (or less)
Pinch of fresh ground pepper
Place all ingredients in blender: blend well
*Optional: 1 tsp of organic ground flaxseed or 2-4 oz. of coconut water for an electrolyte boost
*For sensitive stomachs: gently boil mixture then follow below recommendations
Place blended mixture in glass pitcher and fill up with cold water
***do not drink this with any dairy: as dairy stops the absorption of turmeric
Sip on this tea all week- aiming for 4 oz. a day
